For years I have hated Mac with a passion. Don't ask me why. I don't know how it happened. I used to love the Macs back at Westridge elementary, and when we got a new "PC Lab" I was very skeptical. what were your arguments for hating iPods? I mean i'm pretty skeptical especially about trendy shit but in my eyes, iPod's are just ridiculously simple and good (except for the shitty battery)

i seriously think it all boils down to my hatred of their marketing.

but from the sound of nicks comment below there are other reasons to fear ipods

fortunately i was smart and bought a 3 year replacement plan with mine, so if the slightest thing goes wrong with it i can take it back for a brand new one.

and yes, by the end of the summer i too will own a macbook, so im gonna be all mac'ed out.

Oddly enough, I am going to avoid purchasing another iPod for a very long time, if I ever do so again. It's been irritating as hell to have TWO batteries fail on me, the firmware getting fucked up on a weekly basis, and so many other issues that I'd rather not go into.

However - the MacBooks are fucking solid, and I love my iBook to death.

And I greatly appreciate the last sentence. Fuck do I miss HyperCard.
