I don't get how people can believe in God, only to hate Him. I can understand people not believing, or even believing and not understanding, but I can't grasp people knowing God, understanding Christianity, and hating God. People have been blaming God for tragedies forever.. now for VA Tech. I don't know. I can't get a hold of it

It's the basic problem of Christianity passed through generations- the loss of core focus. It seems the problem people have isn't with the fundamentals of Christianity, rather the general attitudes and movements of the Christian unit and its various denominations (in particular, Catholicism). Blaming God for tragedy is completely ridiculous, but the current standard for God is in the hands of Christianity- and until through their actions they prove a love to a more compassionate, less money-grubbing, war-mongering God, an unfortunate biproduct of their actions will be a loud, angry grumbling through the masses. The true core of Christianity, the teachings of Jesus, are things which have become completely alienated from broad-scale Christianity. What happened to compassion? What happened to turning the other cheek? Why isn't God's nation taking care of her poor and her sick? I personally cannot believe that any God would endorse a mass shooting... or a killing of any kind. So everytime I see a sticker that says "God Bless America," I
