Sue, Kurt, & others? (S3x4 spoilers, violence). Sue hates the hatred her supporters are capable of. anonymous November 2 2011, 22:25:34 UTC
Prompt: Sue Sylvester hates the hatred her campaign supporters are capable of.

***
We all know Sue Sylvester loves to play dirty, and politics is a very dirty business. However, I also truly believe she has a genuine soft spot when it comes to Kurt (aka "Porcelain") and everything he's been through.

I am desperate to see something dealing with Sue's (presumably) inevitable conflict of interest regarding some of her more outspoken and extreme campaign supporters... because I think we all know the kind of voters Sue is going to end up attracting, and I'm pretty sure they're not the kind of people that are going to be very friendly toward the openly gay son of Sue's biggest congressional opponent. Or his boyfriend, for that matter.

Her supporters' hatred could manifest itself in any number of ways... minor digs and insults, hurtful protest signs, a full-on attack, a major public spectacle... all of the above...

I'm really not going to be picky with this idea. If even one part of this prompt inspires you, please just run with it!

You definitely pinned Kurt there -- his mouth could get him in such trouble!

Thanks, hon! <3

Sue is watching her maid polish trophies from her many, many victories when her attention is drawn to the flatscreen TV she has mounted on her living room wall. The news anchor, some overly-dyed and under-fed froufrou, stares seriously into the screen, almost as though she is trying to show just how heavy her story is through the twist of her lips and the elevation of her eyebrows ( ... )

Your Sue remains perfect, don't be nervous about it at all :)

Also perfect is your Kurt - I fully believe that he just couldn't handle keeping his mouth shut the way you wrote the scene, even if he knew it would get him in more trouble.

Cannot wait to see where this goes. I'll just be sitting here, wringing my hands, waiting for your next update :)

I think you did great with Sue. I love this whole fic. It's absolutely horrifying in the best way, haha.

Is it really weird to say that this chapter made me happy? Ha. I thought they shoved him from the safety of the alleyway, and so their faces were never visible! I was so glad to have a witness, even if he barely saw anything. At least it's something.

Your Sue is great. I love that last line especially; it's a bit chilling.

But Kurt's in critical condition. NONE OF THE THINGS THEY SAID ON TV SOUNDED GOOD. *bites nails*

I felt so bad pestering you for the link (again), but I AM OVER IT NOW BECAUSE I AM SO DAMN EXCITED FOR THE REST OF THIS.

Heh. Don't judge me. :P

I'm fascinated/horrified by the set-up of the attack itself; just as I was bracing myself for a truly awful physical confrontation, you one-upped it by having Kurt shoved into a road. With cars. COMING AT HIM. And then that cut to Sue watching the news, letting us learn (at the same time as Sue) that he was in critical condition, that he was bleeding from the ear, that the culprits weren't immediately caught.... Yup. Definitely belongs on the angst meme.

As for Sue? Stop stressing, my dear. You had me at "still has the power to turn her into a prepubescent girl who weeps into her Justin Beiber pillow case every night." Over the top, ridiculous, but still a smidgen of humanity (as evidenced by her reaction to the news story) no matter how hard she tries to surpress it? Yeah, that's Sue. :)

And I'd like to say I'm sorry that your fic is growing so much larger than you ( ... )

Oh my god. You...this is really good. All the stuff about how Sue thinks of Kurt and how she somehow equates her feelings for him to feelings for her sister is just so perfect.

Take as long as you need for the next update, I will be ready to read it whenever it gets here :)
