Kurt/Blaine, Depression, Loneliness TW: Suicidal thoughts, possible character death, self-harm

Blaine gets really depressed in his senior year without Kurt at McKinley with him, whether it's due to bullies or his family or something else is up to the filler. Eventually, it gets too much for Blaine and he tries to kill himself. He can be found by whoever, but survives, and whatever happens here is also up to the filler. Anyways, Kurt finds out and comes back from New York/wherever he went after he graduated and takes a year out to help Blaine recover from his severe depression and any possible side effects from his attempt. Maybe Blaine tries again later, or self harms himself, but Kurt finds him and helps him.
Basically, Blaine is suicidal due to depression and loneliness without Kurt at McKinley and Kurt takes a year out to help him through it.

;__; I don't know if a comment from me will ever not begin with tears.....but I love the resolve he has to be there for Blaine no matter what. Even if it breaks my heart.

The awkwardness is so palpable....I half expected Kurt to be snarky to try and help, but one look into those gorgeously sad amber eyes and he's just as broken.
Ow. My heart. But the tears were held at bay (barely) with the overwhelming gratitude I have for Kurt sticking by Blaine, no matter what.
Don't worry, I am without a doubt that they'll be back at your next update.

Blaine mostly pretends to sleep and Kurt mostly pretends to believe he does, and they talk just a little, about neutral, unimportant thinks, but at some point their hands end up together and that’s enough.
I just love this image. I was in Blaine's position once and this was exactly the kind of thing I needed - no talking except about meaningless things, and then only because it was reassuring to have the noise of words to remind me that I understood them and therefore, must be alive and human. And just someone else being there and breathing in the same space, being there for me (and therefore reminding me that I must be worth something, even if I didn't feel like it at the moment) and not trying to solve things.
Kurt has no idea how much he is doing for Blaine, because of course he wants to solve everything now. But what he's doing is so important.

Blaine wakes up alone in a darkening room and it feels so symbolic that his heart seems to stop for a beat, strung out and aching, before it returns to its normal rhythm, counting out seconds from the moment it was so close to stopping. The moment when Blaine screwed up so badly his life will never be the same again. Which wouldn’t be that bad, really, if it didn’t mean losing Kurt forever

Oh man, you really did deliver on the angst! Poor Blaine. But guess what? You don't get to make Kurt's decisions for him. So interested to see where this goes. But I'm glad that Blaine is crying. That could be a good sign.

Blaine does wake up; it’s a long, slow process of returning to consciousness and the reality he doesn’t want, not yet at least, because he feels warm and safe here for once. But it’s inevitable, his mind is pulling towards awareness and there’s no stopping it. Except even when there’s nothing but his eyelids between him and the real world, it still feels better than it has in months. It takes a moment for his tired brain to catalogue the sensations and realize why. When he does, however, he wonders if he’s really awake
