She leaves in the middle of the night, somewhere between Puck coming home from cleaning the Ferguson pool and morning. She doesn't leave a note and it takes Puck two days for him to realize she's not coming back. It takes Sarah a week

It's when they get home from school and there is one of those lock boxes on the door, the glaring pink paper taped to it, and locks on all their windows that he knows they're in deep trouble. The glaring paper just says that their house has been seized, to call the toll free number for more information, and it's basically a glaring 'fuck you' in Noah's face

Burt Hummel is a pretty cool guy Noah decides the next day when he takes the day off so he can help Noah pick up the parts of his life that are worthy of being carried over. He like how Mr. Hummel doesn't judge when he looks at the living room and the kerosene heater that is surrounded by a nest of blankets and pillow, just shrugs and says, "You did what you had too. Now, you get to relax and let someone take care of you
