Santana walks away and thinks about what Kurt and Blaine said to Dave about "the truth." It hits her. The guy's as transparent as she knows she is.

She turns the corner, walks right into the weight room and finds him a total wreck, sobbing, messed up. Turns out he had heard Kurt was at McKinley and wanted to talk to him but seeing Blaine had freaked him out and led him into another confrontation.

I want a Dave who wants to be better but keeps getting screwed by his own temper and jealousy.

Bonus: If Santana doesn't really know how to comfort him but does, even after the threats she made.
If the line: "God am I that transparent?" in some form is used.

"If I didn't care I wouldn't be here," Santana rolled her eyes, hoping that being casual but to the point would make this a little less awkward. Part of her wanted to run out before this conversation got any heavier, but a bigger part of her was tired of running. Just earlier, Santana had stood up for Kurt and Blaine because slushies to the face hurt like a bitch and there was that sneaking suspicion that one day she would be in their place. If Santana could do that, she could handle an uncomfortably close to home talk

Oh my god this is what I needed after 2x17. Dave/Santana friendship is like my crack and I'm hoping that the glee writers follow up with the interaction that they set up.
You are one of my new favorites so I literally squeed when I saw that you filled this. I just loved the desperation and the fact that they saw each other without becoming out of character at all. The understanding was perfect.

You know, I'm tempted! Santana is one of my favourite characters, and she's fascinating to write. Once I get this pile of WIPs out of the way (or before hand, because I'm terrible at finishing fics lol) I'll def write more for her. Thank you! ♥
