Kurt is walking to the senior commons, ready to sing his solo. Then he runs in to Blaine, who, judging by his outfit, is spying on Dalton from another school.

Basically, a character swap. Blaine is Burt's son and Finn's soon-to-be stepbrother. Kurt transferred to Dalton after getting beat up at his old school.

Bonus if:
The Warblers tease Kurt about liking Blaine.
They can tell Blaine likes him back. Kurt is oblivious.
Blaine transfers just like canon!Kurt.
Mom Anderson is supportive, but Dad Anderson doesn't understand.
(If Dad Anderson has a change of mind at some point, I will love you forever.)

A/N: Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you're enjoying my fill. I would reply to everyone but I don't want to spam the meme! :) I'm thinking about cleaning up the previous parts for posting to my journal pretty soon. Any thoughts on this

It's so odd to read Burt interacting with Blaine and know that Blaine's his son instead of Kurt, but I'm intrigued and liking the dynamic between Burt and Blaine here.

Quick question: Is Cooper going to be Kurt's brother or does he not exist in this AU?

“Spying.” Burt seems to ponder it for a moment, and then smiles. “Kid, you can’t even get away with stealing the last piece of bacon without me noticing. And you were the one they sent to spy

The first fifteen minutes of Warblers practices are spent going over the minutes from the previous practice. The practice that they had all attended. It was tradition.

It was also tradition for Kurt to use this time to catch up on texts and emails. It’s easy enough to tune out Wes’ voice.

Rent’s playing at the Community Playhouse.

Kurt stares down at his phone. His stomach always starts to sink when Blaine takes too long to answer one of his texts. He’s started to piece together Blaine’s life at McKinley, and a small break in communication is enough for Kurt to assume the worst.

Because he knows the worst.

Luckily, Blaine doesn’t keep him waiting for too long.

Cool.

Kurt frowns. Do you like not like Rent, or...?

I love Rent. Why?

It wouldn’t kill you to be a little more excited.

Kurt shakes his head. He hadn’t realized that he would have to clarify. I’m asking you if you’d like to come with me. It could be fun.

Oh!! I would love to! Accompany you, that is. :) When are we going?

xD I was reading this and someone called me out for texting just like Wes did to Kurt. So I cracked up and everyone around me was like wtf. I had to wait until I got home to comment. No regrets! :D
