Happy New Year!  I took two days off work last week to be at home to receive technicians.  One for the computer and one for the treadmill the girls feel they can't live without.  (The motor burned out, which is under warranty, but he managed to find lots of other problems for me to pay through the nose for.  Anyway, it was SO nice to have days off ( Read more... )

The official weather site says cooler and pleasant today.  It didn't even cool off at night.  Supposedly it cooled off to 65 degrees F.  I think they measured that in an air-conditioned room.

Aaaagh!  Suddenly I realize that I have one day to learn for the test in Developmental Psychology.  Luckily I am between jobs, because my last job never gave me a break, and the new job that hasn't started yet hasn't earned me any vacation time yet.  So hopefully I can cram enough between now and then.   Hopefully I'll cram the right things.  I ( Read more... )

Tomorrow I'm supposed to say whether I want a job I've been accepted for.  It's a government job which people say is good.  It pays 3.50 more than minimum wage.  But it is a lot less hours than what I work now, so I wouldn't make enough to pay all my monthly bills.  On one hand maybe it would give me more time/strength to work in massage, and that ( Read more... )

I'm doing laundry while S is out.  I don't know when I can do it otherwise.  I will have to start using the electric clothes dryer, 'cus nothing will get done in time otherwise.  I bought a drying rack I'm pretty happy with, and I can set it up in the boys room usually, since they are hardly ever here (except to add laundry to the basket).
