I thought we knew that silver bullets worked on shapeshifters - hubby mentioned it after the ear-ripping moment, when trying to figure out how they'd manage to kill the monster.
So, one thing I don't get? Dracula is the seminal piece of literature that contains vampire lore. It's fictional, but it's all the legends, true and false, in one place. But Dean never read it? John never made him? Or made reference to it in his notes about vampires? So Dean doesn't recognize Harker, Mina, and Lucy at all? Really? Is he supposed to be that dumb? And survive as a hunter?
Eh, more "please exposit to the audienceme now, Sam." I handwave that he watched/read Dracula for lore purposes, and couldn't be bothered remembering character names. ;)
This ep left me aaaall kinds of nitpicky, but the one that's really gonna bother me in the future?
-Are they going to give Dean another injury to the chin, or are we never going to get a good close up of Jensen's right side again? Or will he have to spend some ridiculous amount of time in make up to cover it? 'Cuz detail work through stubble? Yeagh, poor guy.
I was amused by the crooked fingers line, though. Another physicality I have had in common with Dean, besides the bow legs! Of course, we've seen plenty of tight focuses on Dean's hands as he wields a gun or knife or whatever in the past, and his fingers weren't particularly post-broken, but the line still made me grin. *g*
Don't the guys usually wait until the cops are well-gone before they start poking around?
That worried me a bit! The few times they've gotten all up in the cops' business (Pilot, Dead in the Water), they've gotten caught! EEP!
Why haven't we heard that silver bullets work on shifters before? We know they have had silver bullets before.
I thought we learned back in Skin (1.06 or whatever it was) that the only thing that could kill a shifter was a silver bullet to the heart? (Or, well, any kind of silver weapon right through the heart.)
Huh, I just always remember them looking for silver, but now that you mention it, I guess that line was in Skin.
Mmm, Dean kissing. I wish it weren't evident that Jamie is going to the place where awesome female love interests go, but at least we had her for a little while. :)
