I first read this manga when I was a little girl, how could I have known  this pair is actually based on real people?

Oh gosh, what was Ms. Ikeda thinking while drawing this? I guess it would break thousand hearts if people get to know "Lady Oscar", the rose of Versailles is modelled after a man...
