Mr R posted this as a new year's gift for the fans. One of my favorite songs. And how cool that Mike Garson is playing with them? I remember thinking when I first heard the song I thought, "wow, that piano sounds just like Mike Garson's insane* playing."

Yuletide!
Just looking through this year's fandoms and OMG! Three Lymond stories, Calvin and Hobbes, The Ninth Wave(!), Strindberg & Helium, Snarkout Boys, Warchild, three Johannes Cabal stories (and Horst is in all of them. I <3 Horst), and a bunch of other things that made me go Ooh!
Haven't read anything yet, so that Ooh could change but at this moment -

Lesson Learned
I've come to the conclusion that I hate making cut out cookies. After about the 4th or 5th pan I'm just over them. Completely. Utterly. Over. Them.
I'm guessing I've got at least another 4 or 5 pans to go. THEN I have to ice them. Which shouldn't be too difficult, I guess.
At least the next cookie on the list is a drop--SO much easier!

Cocoa garam masala gingerbread dough is in the fridge doing its cooling thing until tomorrow. Third pan of chocolate chip cookies are in the oven and I'm happy to sit for a sec. I have to say I'm rather underwhelmed by the silicone mats--at least for the choc chip cookies. I'm not sure just what the problem is but I ditched them after the first two ( Read more... )
