The point at which it becomes necessary to discuss the minutiae of IWTB in order to stave off serious MSR cravings appears to have been reached. Check out this video (or alternatively watch the Bedroom Scene on your well-used IWTB DVD) and listen carefully at around 1.40 or just after Scully mentions William.

I can understand why people could think he said it. I can hear it but I'm not sure. I'll get my DVD out; the quality of that vid isn't brilliant and my laptop speakers don't do it much justice.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just a drawn out "Oh, I" or something similar.

Aw, this SCENE! Kills me dead every time.

But while I could understand people hearing it as "honey", I don't think it's what he says. Although I wouldn't mind being proved wrong. :)

I don't know... I'm fairly convinced that "Oh, honey" is said, albeit in a very breathy and indistinct way, but said nonetheless.

You're right though, hankmoodyblues, the quality of that video is terrible and maybe I'm simply hearing what I want to.

Word, Mack and Nam: kissing, William, scratchy beards. Sigh.
