You're in my prayers, Connie, so much. Is there any sort of support network for wives/girlfriends of serving men out of your base? I know a lot of the CFBs up here have them, both formally through the base health and wellness folks and informally amongst the wives/girlfriends themselves. It might be a way of getting some helping hands where you are, should you need them.
Well, I volunteered with the FRG, which is a group of spouses that help each other through while the soldiers are gone. It's just tough starting a relationship built on my needing something from them, rather than being friends first and building to that place. You know?
I've got one friend down here that I met a few months ago, and I know I can count on her if it comes to crunch time, I just don't want to lean on her so heavily if I can avoid it.
Pete-player also had a suggestion to check and see if you can get some allergy testing done. Apparently it's not unheard of for people to be allergic to the wound packing material or what it's infused with, and that could explain the slowness to heal and the painfulness too.
sweetpea, you need anything, you call me. day or night. unfortunately right now i'm up in vt, out of cel range (till tomorrow night) but you can call me at the house i'm at (pauline's) anytime. the number here is ***-***-**** (you should have the right number in the first edit i did on this, i just don't want ot leave their home number out on the internet) (i tried to call you on your cel and it didn't work)
Ouch, i really hope it's nothing but some small issue they can take care of. This is really ridiculous, finding out at this time. Know that we're here for you sweetie and we'll keep you in out prayers.
