why oh WHY did I not know the movie "Desperately Seeking Susan" existed until tonight???

I'm a little troubled that I identify so well with Rilo Kiley lyrics. (Especially since their last album was so silly.)

OK, what a sucker am I? The Smith's "How Soon is Now" is streaming from The Current (89.3 in the Twin Cities, yeah!!!), and I can feel my heart swelling just a little bit.

So. I'm applying to the University of Iowa for a Masters in Library and Information Science. I'm taking the GRE in October and my application is due in February. If I'm accepted, I'll move to Iowa in June, switch over all my documents, and officially become an Iowa resident. I'll live with my Mom in Cedar Rapids for a few months until I can ( Read more... )

i have an exciting new strategy for dealing with my job!

from this day forward i will consider myself an anthropologist/sociologist/spy; when i'm at work i'm just collecting data for my social experiments.

i also plan to synthesize this data for gravely important reports. coming soon.
