sure it's been pondered over millions of times already, but I'm doing it once more!

Drawing some recent canon art has given me a lot of thoughts and re-thoughts on clothes, fashion and style in the HP Wizarding World.

Yess, drawing a variety of differently styled robes just makes sense to me; wizards like their fashion as much as a Muggle would!

I was convinced of the same thing (re: the wizard in GoF) as well until I recalled several cases where JKR mentions adult, very wizardly wizards dressing in pants. I don't think Fudge was the only case. But I like to think that wizards have a choice - pants aren't necessary, but it is a viable option. Maybe the more pureblood a wizard is, the less inclined he/she is to dabble in Muggleish outfits? :D

I think he was probably reading a TeenBeat magazine and saw JC in those pants and was like "OMG MUST MAKE MY OWN!!!"

Or something...ahaha. Because apparently JC was in Teenbeat magazine in like 1979.

Yayyy! It's nice to be rereading the books again from a VERY fandomy perspective. :D I get to try and keep in mind all of these littel tidbits so that I can share iwth people.

I have already figured out a way to prove that James and Sirius weren't unreasonable jerky asses to Snape in school, even. This theory I'm TOTALLY clinging to!

YAY! Okay - so the spell that James uses on Snape is called 'Levicorpus' is one that Snape figured out in his HBP potions book, right? And then when Harry asks Remus about it, Remus vaguely says something like 'Oh that spell was all the rage in those days ( ... )

AHAHAHA! Close! It's John Major, Britain's unspectacular PM in the 1990's. But he srsly looks like Campbell's older brother or something. :D :D
