Hmm. Okay so. When I think about fanart I usually only think about hand-drawn/made stuff. Traditional od digital. I've included other stuff in the poll as well, because it really got me thinking, but eh ( ... )

I think it's jsut hard because traditional illustration has defiend fanart for so long.

It's kinda like what the Paris art school went though when the impressionists showed up you know. All of a sudden there's this new way of thinking and it's a little Whoa. Heck it took me forever to accept photomanips as art ^^;;

But considering the effort some people put into graphic arts . . well it's still art . . by a fan for a fandom . . so fanart =P

The icon I am using BTW is not one I'd qualify as fanart. That's a hack the prety pic job *L*

I have and love Firefox. Sadly, I was using the Reply field on the Read Comments page (?nc=x), which I think is some kind of script, because when you click forward and pray your stuff is still there - that field is gone and clicking "Reply" pops up a new blank one. If you're on the Leave Comment page (?mode=reply) and click off, I think clicking back into it keeps what you had typed because the text entry field is part of the page, not a scripty-pop-up thing. (*fails*)

ehh yeah I only really think of fanart as stuff that's drawn/painted what have you, as opposed to ..messing around with photos or promos. I think of banners and desktops and stuff as.. banners and desktops x) not fanart. And manips just weird me out so I will not comment on them xD.

As we all know, art is subjective. *gets glares* But personally, when I think 'fanart' I immediately think of hand-drawn art either of the traditional or digital mediums and those are generally a depiction of characters (human or not) or a specific setting relating to the originating storyline. (If that makes any sense ( ... )
