The Maddy/Tiana thing still makes me sad and angry every time I hear about it though..there are some lovely and wonderful Maddy's out there. Hearing one of my favorite girl's names maligned as a 'slave name' kinda makes me wanna smack someone.

i've been meaning to watch avatar for a while, and this whole thing made me remember that and give it a try. i'm now halfway through the third season. it's an excellent show and fucking tragic that they're treating it (and the PoC who love it) this way.
