Project get-ready-to-move is in full force this week (weekend). We're working with an agent to try and list the house tomorrow and I'm spending today at home waiting for the plumber, cleaning, and sprucing up.

All with a great big Orlando sunburn on my neck/chest. Oops.

Proposition 8 the Musical.

 I just spilled a full water bottle of water onto my lap, the couch and my book.  I rule.

At least that provides a little motivation to wash the sheet that covers the couch.  And the blanket that got spilled on last week.

School is school is school. I'm hoping to get through the rest of the pre:dissertation steps this semester, submit my final practice paper, and defend my proposal in the spring. If I can find another part time research job I'll take it and then just dissert next year fall/spring. That would make getting funding a little easier...But more ( Read more... )

There are two strange men up on my roof inspecting the heater. Hopefully they will provide us with a nice estimate for replacing the f-er and I will give them lots of money and we'll be done. And I will have a heater that works and doesn't suck up energy (as much) or cause the roof to leak ( Read more... )

Just got home from the moveon party. It was incredible and inspiring. I am so afraid and excited for the next four/eight years.

The honking and screaming around City Hall was fantastic. The people were in the streets -
