Or, well, Hogwarts. So, yeah. I decided to come back early, with Mum's permission. It was so boring and unbearable there. Did have a smashing New Year's party with the family though. Rather nice.

Anna is sitting at the Glory Mansion, in her room, unpacking. Kathleen is out in London, shopping again. It's always lonely at the house, Anna reflects. The ball is two days away. She falls back onto her bed, sighing again.

Anna is packing up her things - her loose books, clothes, and other necessities - into her trunk. She heaves a sigh as she prepares to get on the Hogwarts Express to go home - to the Glory household, to see her mum.

Why is Mum so hard to shop for?

Dear Anna,

This is your mum. I assume you know that you are coming home for the holidays, just like every year. Be ready for the Ministry ball on the 21st and do not wear that dress you bought over the summer. It does not suit you. Do not get into any trouble, and be sure to write.
