I've been re-reading this and mulling it over in my head, and I *still* can't really give it the kind of feedback that it deserves. Your prose style, especially in the first half, carries the sort of poetry and complexity which is so *rare* round these parts. This is so, so impressive. *presses close to chest*

Dude. Dearheart. Thank you. I worked so hard on the prose, hard enough that I started to worry I was *overworking* things (if that makes sense?). But it sounded different-from-usual in my head and I kept trying to achieve that.
