Dec. 6: Snow for peachpai, written for the December Days Meme
"Snow!"
That is where I am at with this particular form of weather. I live in a temperate environment that sees rain rarely and maybe only during 1/5 of the year, so when it rains we do a lot of remarking on it. I have come into contact with snow a couple dozen times in life. I briefly lived in one place where it snowed three or four days and I've gone skiing a few times with my family, and I've have been places like upstate New York where it snowed a ton. Because I don't have to live in it, snow feels very lovely and Christmasy to me.
I also visited lavishsqualor in Colorado very recently and it snowed there! She and I decided on a spur of the moment trip to a ski resort type place (and slept in someone's loft we found on Air bnb!) and we just bummed around pretty much. It was like an actual Christmas village, and when we first stepped out of the car into lots of snow, part of me instantly defaulted to find shelter! The elevation was intense so I had to lie down for half an hour to stop feeling light headed...but! It was amazing!

Anyway, I don't have much else to say on the subject except that it's 57° today and it feels deeply wintery. I'm making baked mac n cheese and drinking tea! In my PJs! December! If it snowing where you are, you should comment with pictures!
