I come bearing a list of recs and links, as well as another day-behind December post!

So. Smug!Sam.
Sam has a really great sense of humor, all things considered, and Smug!Sam and Sam who is very pleased with himself is the absolute best thing. I love that he sits there smirking sometimes, and Dean's like, dude and Sam's like, heh heh heh. It's the best, especially when he's laughing at Dean's expense.
Moments in Sam Winchester's childhood I imagine he feels very smug and well-pleased with himself:
Ok, so Sam isn't exactly smug in the middle gif, but Sam in high school was obviously always kind of annoyed but kind of super proud to be Dean's brother.
N'awww. Sam's so pleased and somewhat sarcastically amused about his life.
Times when robo!Sam feels very smug and well-pleased with himself:
Leviathan!Sam is pretty darn smug about his and Leviathan!Dean's honeymoon roadtrip.
One thing that I love about Sam is that he pretty much stands his ground and wins every argument. If Dean shows the slightest resistance Sam throws down the epic bitch face. If you think about it, he bullies Dean (fondly) all the time, but no one would ever believe it. Sam is a total brat and Dean loves it.

- When Dean does something really stupid and he's there to see it.
- In fact, when he gets the best of Dean in any way shape or form.
- When he swipes the last slice of pizza. Or the little table thing in the middle (why did we always want those? no one knows.)
- When they've totally wasted a bad guy, and he looks over and Dean is super hot and sends him a look like, "yeah, we're superheroes."
