At my 38 week prenatal appointment, the midwives at my clinic do the first check of the cervix to see where we were at. So, on May 21st, I was surprised to find out that I was already 2 cm dilated, 50% effaced and -2 station! One week later, I got check again and she found me at over 3 cm dilated. Good news and ranting about my struggles

A week of bad news
Well, this has been a heavy week so far. At the beginning of the week we found out that Cody's aunt has been diagnosed with breast cancer. His mom has recovered really well from her bout with it, but it takes such a toll on a family and her girls are so young. An Amazing Experience
Last night, Cody and I shared an amazing experience. 20 week Ultrasound
On Friday, Jan 16th, we had an ultrasound of our sweet baby and learned that we are going to be having a girl! Mom and Cody helped take a video of the ultrasound monitor. Good News!
Cody and I are proud to officially announce that we are going to have a baby! We just had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and it looks like baby is doing great! Our due date is June 3rd if you ask me but the doctors have their own way of figuring stuff out (they think May 30th). Either way, we are so excited! Ground Beef Fajita Burritos
I thought of this recipe mostly on my own on the way home from work today... Its a spin on an old favorite oven baked burrito recipe my mom used to make, but modified for Cody's migraine allergies and made a bit healthier with black beans and fajita.
