Car!
Tonight I wrote out the last payment for my 2000 Mercury Sable which I got on April 23, 2004 as a graduation present to myself. Since then, I have driven about 63000 miles in the car, each one of them enjoyably spent.
Looks like it's paint job time this spring, got to head the rust off before it gets a hold of anything.

Annoying Evening
So, I get home... 4 messages on the answering machine, all for me, all computer related. Two town offices, two home accounts. When they finally open for business and I go up to the counter to check in and get my boarding passes, what, alas, do they have to tell me but my 5:15 AM flight (that I was at the airport at 3:15 to check in for) has been cancelled. Vive la Sable!!!
So, of course I'm not in the states to celebrate this move, but Ford Motor Company, led by its new CEO's infinite wisdom, has decided to resurrect the Taurus and Sable names for their respective mid-large family sedans.
So, the 2008 Sable is official after a 2-year hiatus. Mercury may be headed to the chopping block, but it's not there yet!!!
