We're really good about not wasting food, for the most part. at least lately. Whole foods, carefully planned meals, etc. And I've watched food prices soar. So I just did the most crazy person thing I've ever done.

I just hit "checkout" on 20lbs of quinoa and 10lbs of lentils. organic, delivered.

That's not crazy, as long as you have somewhere cool and dry to store them.

I tend not to be a hoarder.

Hoarding is not about being sensible and saving money when you have the wherewithal (space as citabria mentioned). Hoarding has a totally different motivation.

It feels nutty, but I'm ok in my nuttiness.

You remember our pantry I kinda get nutty if we have less than 8 can of tomatoes and 5 boxes of pasta (other than spaghetti) in the house. Also I tend to comb over the flyers on Friday morning at work so I can get any good deals on Saturday mornings.

I'm always afraid of spices, etc from "ethnic" stores - I don't trust them for some reason. :-/
