At the all-school meeting this morning, the principal tried to prepare the students emotionally for a difficult math test that's coming up this week. We're trying hard to hew to a tough pacing guide, and they're trying to establish norms that can be looked at from year to year. Hang in there! Things will get easier (well, a little easier) as you figure out a routine that works for you. The first year is the hardest, when you have to do all your lesson plans from scratch and still figure out how to manage a classroom. Remember, next year you'll be able to build off of all the work you're doing now!

Besides, I don't even remember what weekends are anymore. :)
