Just having one of those weeks where even thgough I know I'm on the right side, I look around myself and I see all the selfishness, and the snark, and the crude humiliation and mockery that people find "funny," and it's stinking everywhere. Not just in the news, but all over the 'Net. Reading people talking about how thew homeless should just all die because they're wasting space. About how "no poor person's going to get any of MY hard-earned tax dollars. Let the lazy bastards starve

And to me, the answers seem so bloody simple but we're all so stuck on how big the problems are that we automarically assume that the solutions aren't any good unless they're JUST as big. And we end up so focused on getting big results that the little things begin to seem meaningless and a waste of time. I encourage people to stop and smell the roses, to marvel at things likea child does, and I get back, "hry man, that's all sweet and stuff, but what's the big fucking deal about a flower growing up through the sidewalk? Yeah, like that little guy's going to stop a terrorist
