Zachariah caught Stomach Flu from Nursery at the end of last week. By Friday night Gary had it and by Saturday morning so did I. Cue emergency call to the parents to come to Plymouth to look after sprog while Gary and I fought it out over toilet and bucket and bed. Ended up in A&E with Zachariah last night. He is fine, but had bumped his head yesterday (went from vertical to horizontal in about half a second) and then proceeded to throw up a lot after going to bed last night. Was rather freaked so we phoned NHS Direct who told us to take him in and they checked him over and said he is okay which I am ( Read more... )

Took Zachariah for a walk today. Nothing new there - I do it every day.

But this time HE walked, through the park, crisp with frost and many coloured crunchy leaves and a beautiful blue sky. He also went on the swing and laughed his bum off. Will always remember today.

The sprog is now walking. Still falls over occasionally, but is walking rather than running and can walk the length of the room, pausing to watch Simpsons on the way past. Am very impressed.

But the poor little bugger has yet another cold (about his 7th in the past 11 months) so sleepless nights ahead.

Happy Birthday Nadia. Hope it is a good one.

Took Zachariah swimming today. After last times unsuccessful attempt this one went well. He enjoyed all the splashing and floating and because it is a fun pool there were lots of water features for him to dip his hands into. Because there was a family changing area Gary could help me get him showered and dried and dressed afterwards so much less ( Read more... )
