Nostalgia = Revolution? The Good Old Days = The Next Big Thing?
Speaking as a volunteer DJ at an "Anything Goes" commercial-free community access station, I am naturally deeply suspicious of nostalgia - It too often masquerades as "Classic Rock".
And yet, last Sunday, there I was, doing a show about "Debut Albums That Nobody Knew About But Nevertheless Changed Everything", albums that were....."Revolutionary".
Hmmm. This one is a puzzler, ain't it? Get back to me on this, whaddaya say?

I think for the rest, you've maybe missed the direction I was coming from, I definitely wasn't attempting to claim any of the stuff I was listening to as revolutionary, altho I think we can probably agree that a few might've been a wee bit influential.
Given the statement's positioning in my entry I more intended it as incitement for a revolution to return to the '80's... or at least a few select parts.
Hardly revolutionary.

Yeah, there wasn't much groundbreaking about the 80's...except for the rise of Neo-Conservatism, cable tv, Sonic Youth, the Internet and cheap synthesizers.
But that's for later. I gotta tend to them hogs. 'Later, dude.
