On Adventure

After waiting for a bus to another bus station in Vientiane, Laos, for 40 minutes, knowing neither if we were in the right place nor going to the right place, and having a difficult time communicating with the locals:

Me: We're having an adventure.

Ted: Sometimes adventure looks an awful lot like waiting.

Me: Sometimes adventure is boring!

And sometimes adventure is waiting on a bus that's stopped temporarily and wondering whether it has stopped long enough for you to get off and sprint to a bathroom or place to relieve oneself and not knowing how to ask that concept in the local language...

Oh yes, I held it for many hours today, especially since the "toilet" were some bushes on the side of the road.

Coming back from Laos to Thailand on a bus with some GI distress, I became friends with immodium. I don't miss that! Lots of other stuff about SE Asia though. Keep having a fabulous time there!
