farmer's market bounty/mystery
A few weeks ago, I bought green pod-like things from one of the Alemany market vendors, who was unable to tell me what it was. remains of the crab
Another attempt (from last week, I'm behind on my posts) to make the Spicy Sichuan/Hunan-ish Crab (Xiang La Xie 香辣蟹). The batter held up this time, due to some techniques we learned from a fellow climber/foodie (namely, double-breading the crab, and using an egg wash). However, the breading itself wasn't spicy.
