meme: Be kind to eachother
Inspired by a post from bodhi_chenrezig I decided to put this at the top of my journal for the next few decennia:
Perform an act of anonymous goodness today.
Just do something nice and don't expect anything back.
Practice a random act of kindness.
Then, do it again tomorrow.

Voice Assistant/Smart Speaker 2
So... A few things:
The Mycroft Mark II (like the Mark I) is based around a Raspberry Pi.
The USB thumb drive that's in there is needed for proper operation... I found that out today.
Things that currently work:
* I can "google" things
* I can set an alarm

Voice Assistant/Smart Speaker
So... I received my Mycroft(r) voice assistants today.
The device (I only unpacked one for now) works out of the box.
It sets up a wifi network, to which you connect. As soon as you do connect it asks you to select one of the wifi networks it finds in the vicinity, which is all well and good.

My Asian Adventure, Day 14
I woke up hungry, so after a shower I went down to the "bar" and ordered a breakfast.
After breakfast I went back to my room, and sent some sms.
Tey had asked if we could meet @ Ayala @ 4pm, which was fine with me... Around 2:30 I got another text asking if I could come to the other mall, SM, as Tey was sending some mail there.

day 11 (saturday) was busy albeit sort of fruitless. I was woken up by a lot of "noise" outside. as soon as I recognised the noise I got up, did not forget my camera and made some pictures and a small movie of the what later turned out to be a student parade ( Read more... ) -

I'm combining two days again since not much happened on day 9. I got up late, went down to write the postcards and was invited to lunch once more. this time, besides pork there was something fishy and red on the menu, which apparenty contained tiny shrimp...
