Getting my face broken by a professional.

Jan 27, 2009 15:33

I'm going to be in Dublin for most of next week. I'm having surgery on my nose and sinuses in the Hermitage Clinc on Monday, getting out on Tuesday and I was told not to go too far for a few days afterwards in case it starts to bleed afterwards.

Cut for yuck )

I have to admit I'm a little nervous about the whole thing - however some of my "friends" have offered to do the job for me using a dremmil and a lump hammer which I thought was quite nice of them.

On the plus side the guy doing it is one of the best in the country - Professor Conrad Timon (holds the Trinity College Dublin Chair in Otolaryngology)http://www.rveeh.ie/rveeh/education/Otolaryngology_ENT-HN.html

Here's a question, is it becoming the norm to google your surgeon before your operation - and what happens if you found out something bad? Would you back out?

meeting up sounds good, it's been a while! Friday would probably be better than thursday.
