just a thought, the chances of a person, born in 1798, living till they were a hundred are really slim cause wasn't the life span then like, 50 or so?

See, I knew someone was going to say that - while the AVERAGE life expectancy was less, a specific human was still capable of living to the age of 100. OK!?!?!?!????!??
