I just realized tonight that I think I am jealous of my hair. It gets way more attention than I do. I am sick of people coming up to me and wanting to talk about it. Nobody seems to care to know the person inside it

In the early 80s people would yell "BEE-FIFTY-TWOS!" at me on the street. At one point I got pissed off, bought clippers, and gave myself a buzz cut (not a good look on me; I have a bumpy, ill-shaped cranium). Didn't work. First time I went out like that somebody yelled "Gary Numan"! A few years later I suppose it would have been Sinead O'Connor. I was actually going for Robert Fripp circa "Exposure".

I've only met you once, and all I remember about your hair was that it was black. I remember your eyes. And these awesome striped socks you had on.
