parents are ridiculous these days. they don't realize that we have more than just THEIR child in our class, and maybe, just maybe, we aren't working just for their child and their child alone.

i couldn't have said anything better myself, elizabeth.

I'm convinced that people who have EVER worked in childcare or an educational setting have a bond...or at the very least, a common ground. At least jobs like this teach us a lot about parenting.

i know what you mean.

i mean i dont take care of kids, but i worked in a nursing home for a year and they all expect you to cater to them, without realizing that you're responsible for feeding 15 other people in 45 minutes. (worked in the dining room)

and now i work in a deli, thankless job that is. most customers just want to get their stuff and leave, but some assholes can't stand waiting for 15 minutes if it gets busy.

i mean christ, we can only slice meat and cheese so quickly.

so in short, while i may not have to deal with all the stuff you do, i do feel some of your agony
