It took the top of my head off, but differently. My brain doesn't feel cold.
There was the time that Jimi Hendrix washed my ears out with black magic marker. This is not like that, though my ears and temples throb.
There was the time when I was aware there was such a person as Tasha Tudor. I am just as glad, but it's not the same.
There was the thrill of meeting you. Or reading you. This is no such thrill, however delightful.
This is a completely different sensation, and it'll take me a while to discover what it is.

I found my lips shaping the words as I read them, unconsciously & irresistably. Some poetry will just do that.
