1. Books - Harry Potter and Laurell K Hamilton

Hrm. I've been told by several people that I'd like the Harry Potter books and/or movies, usually after mentioning Nicholas Flamel as apparently he crops up in the series... I actually learned about Flamel during the Alchemy section of a class on Magical & Witchcraft beliefs in the Middle Ages which I took as an elective during my freshmen or sophmore year (can't remember which one right now). Heh, it's kind of funny to say that I studied Magic at the University level. =P

heh, I only started watching Full Metal Alchemist after hearing very good reviews from a number of friends and one practitioner of spiritual alchemy that I know. At some point I might pick up the Potter series but I currently have a lot of other books that I want to or have to read...

As for Laurell K Hamilton... That author sounds familiar but I can't remember from where right now.
