Today was a great day. Let's see. What did I do? I got paid $150 for babysitting (and had lunch bought for me as well). It was beautiful all day - the clouds (most of them the fluffy kind) were creating some bad-ass images in the sky, which was especially vibrant. I washed my mom's car. dude you gotta remember that your aprehension towards the dubbed episodes is due in part to the fact that you saw it with subtitles first. had it been the other way around, you'd prolly think differently. like how i like dubbed Ping Pong Club a little more than subtitled Ping Pong Club. the dubbed voices are horrible but its the small fact that that's what i saw first. besides, i think its funny when you can have three different accents in one fucking family. Scottish dad, southern daughter and english other daughter. priceless.

But seriously. Check out the English versions (if you haven't already) and you'll see what I mean. I'd like the japanese versions better even if I hadn't seen them first.

the english voices don't fit the characters as well as the japanese voices

they never do. There are very few dubbing jobs that are worth anything, most of the time the subtitles are much better, much cleaner, and much more accurate to what's being said. The only time I've ever liked dubbing MORE than subtitles is with Hellsing, when you get the english and scottish accents (I liked cowboy bebop's dubbing a lot, but if anything it was only on par with the subtitles)
