[total fail lock, she's still rather off] posted the day after the wedding

Can't believe I'm that sort of drunk, how embarrassing, crying like a stupid child over nothing. And then I got so sick, ugh, at least there were few people there.

And Setsuna had to go and take care of me, so lame. Maybe it's better that I only remember some of it or else it would be even more embarrassing. I guess maybe I should say sorry to ( Read more... )

the wedding, sick, setsuna, lockon

I suspect she's learned a lesson well enough without a talking to.

Oi! Answer the question! How long do you plan to keep on doing this?

As long as I need to.

Which will be for how long?

For as long as I need to. Suzumiya-san is better than she used to be, but she's by no means stable.

And what exactly qualifies as stable? You're a kid. You shouldn't be worrying about this sort of stuff so much it takes over your entire life. Isn't there anything you'd like to do with yourself? What about the things you miss out on because of all this?

Can't they get someone older to deal with the space thingies while the Spaceman and I take care of her so you can just be her friend, no real strings attached?

There are plenty of other espers, that's not the issue. They needed someone close to her age to watch over her and keep her happy so that closed space wouldn't be an issue in the first place.

I've come to terms with having to do this. It's a tradeoff, but I'm certainly not unhappy.

She has plenty of other friends. She has this entire community! You said yourself she's been doing much better. How do you think she'd react to finding out you'd essentially "run away" from home?! I don't see any reason why you can't drop your parents a line.

Friends aren't the issue. I am her friend, of course, but first and foremost I'm someone to help keep her boredom and anger at bay, and support her unquestionably.

Which do you think is better, accepting that there isn't any hope, or having to cling to a few small shreds of it that may come to nothing? I would think the second one was worse, myself.

So that's it, then? You're just going to wallow there and not even try to have a life of your own? You're not going to do what you need for you?

I'm not wallowing.

What have you done for yourself since you met Haruhi? Well and truly for yourself? Any school activities? Any friends outside of the group around her? Any interests outside of this little... bubble you've been forced into?

I have friends on the community that have no connection to her.

I meant in real life. Online is all well and good, but don't you have friends in your physical life outside of her? Interests? Hobbies? You can't look me in the eye and honestly tell me you're happy with the way things are!

I can, actually. It's very easy.
