It's not satan. It's not a devil. It's not even a demon. It's not anything but human.

When we demonize humans who do these sorts of things, it gives us a nice way to ignore the fact that humans can fall so low. But ignoring dangers only leads to someone often falling into them. It doesn't help matters if we demonize people. It just lets us fall into a hole that we decided to ignore, rather than moving to the side, stepping around.
