Sleep eludes me; jagged edges of uncertainty pierce my mind and I lay there ... sleepless. As I toss and turn, the poodles shift, recreating small nests of blankets around the curves of my body. I am tired.

I am feeling so impatient with the customers who constantly want to haggle with the prices in the store I work in. I feel they believe it is a yardsale and the longer they try to convince me of what their discount should be, the less likely I feel inclined to assist them in their efforts to get a deal. I am at work today and I have noticed that a psychic reader has set up a little stand across the street. She has a long ,dark ponytail and a mysterious look about her. I feel like life is starting to pass me by while I work, work, work. I work because of financial necessity, but I am missing my children. They are home from school for the summer and I would love to have a couple of days with them. I also had to fire an employee yesterday and that was difficult.

I was so happy to get a vegetable garden planted in my backyard this year. I put in heirloom, beefsteak and grape tomatoes, and also pepperoncini ,jalapeno, and bell peppers . I planted basil, thyme and oregano as well ( Read more... )

Today is a sunny and warm memorial day here in Michigan. The tourists walk up and down the sidewalks choosing items to buy from the little shops and boutiques in our quaint beach town. I am working in one of the shops that sells clothing and funky jewelry. I occasionally step outside to pat one of the many dogs that are walked by their owners. ( Read more... )

Today is the first day in about a month in a half that I have almost no itching and asthma. I am so happy about it.
