The trouble with setting high standards is that they are nearly impossible to surpass.  So when they are met, it feels...ordinary.  Satisfying, yes; but there is no sense of overwhelming pride that comes when you exceed a goal.  And it makes me kind of angry with myself because I feel like I SHOULD be proud, like some of my friends are of me, but * ( Read more... )

I'm sure everyone and their mother has said this, but I'll say it again: that is fucking impressive. I'm proud, whether you are or not.

After APs I plan to... read the 6th Harry Potter again! ♥ And have a Law and Order marathon...

As for my Big Mama, I did The Grapes of Wrath and The Ox-Bow Incident. I'm gonna gloat though: I got a 5.

It's good that you're dedicated... but if you ever want something different to do, try swimming. It's wonderful stress relief. Or give me a call. We can go bowling. But seriously. :)

Thanks!

Hahaha, 6th Harry Potter was my spring break relaxation. I read it at the same time as my brother and we discussed it. He's 12. But it was fun.

I have a bad tendency to watch late night Law and Order, at like 11 or 12, which of course doesn't do much to help me sleep. I hate TV.

I love the Grapes of Wrath. Haven't read the other. I have Madame Bovary and Lady Chatterley's Lover; they both seem good.

Oh man, bowling. Totally! I definitely need the relaxation after all this stupid testing.

yeah, that's an awesome score... but i know where you're coming from about the never really feeling happy for your achievements... i am the most pessimistic, self-deprecating person i know... but still, you can't be disappointed with those scores!

and after APs i plan on starting guitar lessons, getting a job at duttons, reading a couple of books, and going hiking and biking every week.
yeah, i just hope that i manage about half of that...
