I've never had such feelings about leaving at Christmastime. I want to see my family, but I'm afraid everything will be so much worse when we get back.

We're not doing any good at school, or changing anything. We're just miserable. What's the point in that? I'd rather stay at home. I guess the worst that could happen is that they come after us, and then we go on the run. That's what everyone else is doing, right? I mean, Harry, Ron, Hermione. Kevin and Justin and Dean and Ben Dover, too.

Perhaps it's like the eye of the storm. The calm. Then we only have one more chunk of rough weather to get through, and everything will be back like it was. Maybe?

I don't know, things are alright. My dad got injured at work, nothing serious, but he's become more fond of the bottle now instead of bothering to go back to work. It's a bit strange, really, and it would be nice to visit you. I'll go mad if I just sit here any longer.

It does kind of feel that way, doesn't it? At least, I feel like the relative happiness I'm experiencing right now isn't going to last very long. What are the odds that all of this will be over by January? Not very high. I was hoping things would be better by now and they're not.
