Gah. I hate writing essays. I *really* hate writing essays for a non-major class. I especially hate it when I've got the topic, the thesis and the argument and I just can't put pen to paper (metaphorically speaking).

Of course, this essay is due tomorrow. Of course I have class all morning and can't put it off further.

Gah.

I am oh so intimately familiar with those feelings and will likely be feeling the within a few days--two papers due next Tuesday. Ack!

One technique that sometimes works for me is to just start doing steam-of-thought stuff. I can always go back and reorder/clarify it after I am done. At least that way I actually get some words down.

I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck tonight.

Thanks... I've got almost two pages down....

I wish stream of consciousness worked for me. Unfortunately it's really easy for me to get derailed and lost if I do that. I have, however, written some seriously weird stuff that way...

Bah. Back to writing. If it wasn't biochem in the morning I'd consider skipping lecture.... Of course, I'd also be missing my microbio discussion.... Damn.

That's the joy of biostats. Sure, I've got a response due at 4 tomorrow, but I've got two hours of biostats lecture I can skip to write it. =D
