Check out Christopher Brookmyre on amazon or play.com.

Am really into his stuff at the moment. It's black comedy crime thriller, whodunnit, murder mystery - stylee (sometimes referred to as "Tartan Noir, cuz it's all set in Scotland).

Also Carl Hiaasen, much the same only mostly set in Florida.

Exciting fun reads :)

I'm starting with quite ugly one morning and if i like that i'll carry on and read the rest, i went off crime thrillers for a bit cos i churned my way through loads on Ian Rankins books before giving up on them. Got the girl with the dragon tatoo on a flight to germany a few months back though and really enjoyed that, read the second one and now waiting for the third in a weeks time.

I've gone for sick puppy by Carl Hiaasen, not sure if i'll like it but i'll give it a go and only £2.50, gotta love e-bay.

If you've not read Rant by Chuck that's a good book, i've managed to get invisible monsters, the diamond age, altered carbon and zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance for under £3 each. I'll keep an eye out for the rest apart from Ben Elton, i read a couple of his and wasn't impressed years ago.

Spun [2002]
Charlie Bartlett [2007]
The Fall [2006]
Traitor [2008]

Stander [2003]
JCVD [2008]
Charlie Wilsons War [2007]

I've seen some of the more popular ones and not seen spun for years, the rest i've managed to add to my blockbuster list even though i've never heard of them. JCVD though? I think i'll give that a miss although die hard 4 and rocky balboa (both in the old man give it a rest category) were pretty unjoyable. Thanks
