Fuck them!! I HATE that anyone thinks that it's okay to judge someone else because they aren't "traditional". My grandma sent me a letter basically saying I was going to hell, right before our wedding. I am still so fucking mad about it!! Unfortunately some of us get shit on in the family department but luckily we can create our own families with people who love and support us and don't blink at eye at our non traditional-ness!

I guess I'm lucky - nobody's denounced Calvin or said we're going to hell, although there are always snide remarks about the fact that he is black and that we live in sin, but that doesn't get to me. If my grandma did that, though, I'd be crushed. I feel for you.
