One of the best sounds in the world is hearing your child laugh. When he does it my heart and soul flutter with happiness.

Izzy is very curious, he looks around a lot and he loves people. I think he will be a very social man, at least right now he is. He dishes out smiles to everyone, even the crazy ladies at the allergy dr. office.

I really hope that posting this doesn't jinx are good times. Izzy has slept for 8 hours straight the last four nights. Woo Woo, happy dance!

Today was all about getting spit up on everything. Started out with Izzy spitting up all over himself on the drive to campus. Within his first hour on campus he spit up on himself again and left a puddle of spit up in mom's lap. After an outfit change he quickly broke in the clean outfit with another deposit of spit up. Well I think Izzy is officially a thumb sucker. The other night I was stirred awake by the smacking sounds that Izzy was making while sucking his thumb. Even though I wasn't too happy to be up at 1:30AM, he looked so cute sound asleep and sucking away. Also interesting to note, he always sucks his left hand. It seems like Izzy's favorite place to fill his diaper and beyond is when he is on campus with me.... I wonder if he is trying to tell me something.

Izzy is glowing with pride for his father and friend who wrote such a good play that it has been extended another weekend (Thurs. Aug 25th and Friday Aug 26th). Of course he is also proud of the cast and crew of Jobsite who made a great production of the play. More details at ... Read more... )

First attempt to get work done on campus...

Two hours to get out of the house.
Once on campus...
Huge diaper disaster, outfit change and carrier cleaning required.
Huge spit-up disaster, requiring carpet cleaning.
Lots of ohhh and ahhhs at the cute monster.
Amount of work done minimal.
Hopefully a nap is around the corner.

Izzy went for his 2 month Dr. visit today. He is doing great! Current stats...24 3/4 in long (95%ile), 13.6 lbs (90%ile), head circumference 16 (75%ile). Dr. said his weight gain is great, especially considering that he is being breastfed. Izzy did not have fun when it came time for the vaccines (5 shots).
