First, I would like to express my ultimate dismay that none of my friends recognizes a reference from the "Civilization" series of games. WTF is a comforter cover, you say? It's a cheap way of forcing you to buy a down comforter, I say.

it's a way of delaying how quickly you need to dryclean the whole down comforter. (and it's probably cheaper than a single drycleaning.

this is like when a guy friend of mine figured out that sheets are there not so much for softness, but to reduce the frequency one needs to launder the bed, blankets and pillows. (and that underwear can perform the same service with outer clothes... usually...)

Yes. And I realize that as well. I just think it's silly, when the part you actually get dirty is the sheet-part of the bed, to have a whole cover for the comforter.

Although, I suppose, if one does a lot of lounging on the bed after it's made (or one has cats what proudly parade through the room while the MASTERS are away), I can see the necessity for a comforter cover, yes.

I noticed that you were purchasing things for the "Man-Cave". If you are interested in some old-school videogames for said cave, let me know; a friend of mine runs a store right by me and he specializes in NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Sega CD, Atari, Playstation, and XBOX...he actually has a working ROBIE. (The old Nintendo Robot...Gyromite, my friend, Gyromite). Just an idea...I know he'd cut me a deal and I would definitely pass along the savings to you. Let me know
