Settling In

So, Mongolia is not America. I haven't had any soda since I got off the plane in UB. Finally saw UB in the daytime, was excited to see the countryside. My fellow Vermonter was one of my roommates, has a beautiful Garrison Keillor radio voice, and seems all around to be a swell guy. Hooray for settling in!!! is it whole milk? you could try watering it down a bit. or is that too weird/insulting to the family? Write a poem of what UB looks like! up to you really. I am excited for you can you tell. and a bit crazy from studying. Woot!

It sounds like a neat and potentially delicious adventure. Because Japanese people love their dairy products, but aren't necessarily tolerant of all the lactose, there's a product here called yakult that people drink. It's a little tasty, but mainly it's so people can process the dairy better. Maybe there's a similar product in UB. It could be worth looking into. Especially since I've tried Mongolian butter tea so I know you're in for deliciousness.

Glad the snow shoes will come in useful. I want to know why the guy left his wife for two years and then decided to go back. Hope your stomach is feeling better. I hope your older 12 year old sister is keeping you in line.

Definitely sounds like an interesting experience so far! See if you can take some pictures and maybe get them online, I'd love to see what it's like over there.
